PROJECT: Paul Cartwright Branding was appointed by Bamidele Akomolafe of Longe Limited to design the packaging identity of a new range of African snacks. The front-of-pack identity deliberately underplays the African origins of the snacks in order to appeal to a wider, international market.

The range, comprising of ‘chin chin’ – a delicious, deep fried, sweet pastry and two varieties of plaintain chips, is divided into strong colourways inspired by one of the paintings from a collection available at Longe Arts. Both plaintain chip varieties feature artists’ paintings available to purchase online.
